Action sports are experiencing a big upswing, largely driven by the olympic inclusion of more and more disciplines across different sports. This trend requires an increasing professionalization of Action Sports, and with it the need for accurate and actionable data grows. Wyldata is here to fill that gap and provides different data services to event organizers, federations and other industry stakeholders.
My Role at Wyldata
We're a really small team at Wyldata, so my role isn't very well defined. I take charge of different projects and do a lot of hands-on development. One of my main projects was the creation of machine learning models that make predictions about upcoming competitions. The models are trained on past performance data and are able to predict the ranking of future competitions with around 80% accuracy. I wrote an article about this on the Wyldata Blog.
